Terms of use
Last updated: 14 September 2026
These are the ground rules for reading alosave.com and receiving The Weekly Save, written in ordinary English because we would rather you actually read them. Anything unclear? Write to contact@alosave.com.
About these terms
AloSave is a two-editor value desk in Porto, Portugal. We run alosave.com and publish a weekly email called The Weekly Save. On this page "we" means AloSave and "you" means anyone who visits the site or subscribes.
By using the site or entering your address in the subscribe form, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or subscribe. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your email address and forms part of the same agreement.
Accuracy of savings
Every saving we publish has been tested by hand at our desk, and the date of that check is shown next to the item. Even so, merchants change prices, add exclusions and end codes without notice, sometimes within hours of our send.
So we can't guarantee that a code will work when you try it, that a price will hold, or that a saving is available where you live. Read the merchant's own terms and confirm the total in your basket before you pay. If something we published stops working, tell us and we will update the issue page.
Third-party merchants and links
We are not the seller of anything we write about. When you follow a link and buy something, the contract is between you and the merchant, under the merchant's terms. Delivery, returns, refunds and warranty claims are the merchant's responsibility, not ours.
Some links may earn AloSave a small referral fee if you buy. Where that is the case we say so next to the link. A fee never decides whether an item is included; every saving goes through the same two-person check either way, and we don't sell placement.
Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices. Once you leave alosave.com, their rules apply.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to read the site, subscribe, share links and forward an issue to a friend. Please don't:
- scrape or bulk-download the site or the email in order to republish or resell its contents;
- use our name or content to send spam, or imply that we endorse something we haven't;
- enter other people's email addresses in the subscribe form without their permission;
- misrepresent who you are or your relationship with us; or
- attempt to disrupt the site or the systems that deliver the email.
If we see this kind of activity we may remove an address from the list or block access to the site.
Intellectual property
The text and design of alosave.com and The Weekly Save belong to AloSave. Merchant names, codes and prices belong to the merchants concerned and appear here only to describe the saving.
You may link to any page and quote short passages, as long as you credit AloSave and link back to the source. Please don't reproduce whole issues or substantial parts of the site without asking first; we usually say yes.
Availability and changes
We try to keep the site up and the email on schedule, but we are two people and things sometimes go wrong. We may pause, change or stop the site or the newsletter at any time, and we don't guarantee that either will always be available or error-free.
We may also update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, mention it in the next issue. Staying subscribed after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
The site and the email are a free editorial service provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, AloSave is not liable for any loss that results from relying on a saving that did not work as described, from a price that changed, from a merchant's conduct, or from the site being unavailable.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese law or EU consumer protection rules, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and disputes that can't be settled by talking to us go to the Portuguese courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protections of your own country's mandatory law and may bring a claim in its courts.
The European Commission also runs an online dispute resolution platform for consumers: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We would still rather you wrote to us first; most problems are quicker to fix by email.
